Kwame is a famous American politician. Kwame Malik Kilpatrick is popularly known as Kwame Kilpatrick.

In November 2005, Kwame Kirkpatrick won the Detroit mayoral election when he was only 31 years old, and in Detroit’s history, he was the youngest mayor to be elected. • For the Michigan Democratic Party, he was also elected as the minority floor leader and served till 1998-2000. Being the first African-American in 2001, Kwame was elected as a minority leader. After that, he was polling for the Mayor’s election in Detroit, and his election campaign, Kwame hired Berg/Muirhead Associates.
• In the history of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick became the first youngest mayor at 31 years old. He received backlashes as he used the city funds to lease a Lincoln Navigator for personal use and was also criticized for using city-issued credit cards on spa massages, expensive wines, and luxurious dinings. He spent almost thousands of dollars for his personal and family use.
• Time magazine concluded him on headlines calling the worst mayors in 2005 because he closed the 100 years old Belle Isle Zoo and the Aquarium as there was some city budget issue. Detroit mayor is also the special administrator of Detroit Water Department from the 1970s, so when Kilpatrick was in charge, he used his special administrator authority to bypass the water board and City Council on three controversial contracts, which made the headlines in The Detroit News January 2006. With 53% of the votes, Kwame again won the election.
• For his 70 minute speech upon “seventh `State of the City,” he focused on Detroit’s positive changes and said about the plans. There he also mentioned the new policing technology.
