Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress, model and currently active in the Bollywood film industry. She was born on 11 August 1985 in Manama, Bahrain and completed her graduation degree in Mass Communication from the University of Sydney.
In 2006, she won the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant award and represented her county at the 2006 world Miss Universe pageant. She made her acting debut in Bollywood with fantasy drama Aladin, but her career greatly boosted her first commercial success with the psychological thriller Murder 2 opposite Emraan Hashmi. Post Murder 2, she gave a series of commercial successes with Housefull 2, Race 2, Kick, Dishoom, Housefull 3, etc. She has been cited as one of the most attractive Bollywood celebrities in history by many newspapers and media outlets.
She appeared in the English-Sri Lankan crime thriller named According to Mathew in 2017. She also starred alongside Varun Dhawan And Tapsee Pannu in Judwaa 2 (2017). She is also going to star in Netflix’s original film Mrs Serial Killer.
Fernandez imparts a nearby attachment to her family and concedes that she misses being around them. Notwithstanding acting in movies, Fernandez has bolstered altruistic associations and various causes. For 2011, for the sake of People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). She sent a letter to the Mumbai Municipal Commissioner requesting a conclusion to horse-attracted carriage rides in Mumbai.

Fernandez caught in controversy when Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) objected to the “inappropriate use” of the kirpan in the song “Ishq Ka Marz” from the film Dishoom. It shows actor Jacqueline Fernandez wearing a ‘short kirpan’ on her waist. Sirsa wrote that the video was “highly offensive, mala fide and deliberate insult to the well-established Sikh tenets and customs”. DSGMC’s general secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa wrote a letter to censor board chief Phalaj Nihalani, requesting the song to be removed from the film
Jacqueline is a supporter of PETA. After meeting with the Mayor of Mumbai, she requested him to ban the horse carriages and eventually, her request was taken care of, and horse carriages have been banned since then.
She had been seen in a nightclub with an unknown man several times. Reports claimed that the same man gifted Jacki a posh 3bhk apartment in a high-end area of Mumbai.
