Olurotimi Akinosho (born November 30, 1988) is a Nigerian American actor, producer, singer, and model. He is known as Rotimi and best known for roles like Darius Morrison on the Starz series Boss and starred as Andre Coleman on Power. Graduated from Northwestern University in 2010 with a B.S. in Communications and a minor in Business.

He is a contemporary R&B artist and an actor whose career was boosted by a recurring role in the 2011 and 2012 Starz series Boss. Rotimi means “with me” in Yoruba (his ancestral root). He is known for playing- Darius Morrison in the series- “Boss”, Andre Coleman in “Power”.

Rotimi’s father, Segun Akinosho, is an investment banker, and he is of Yoruba (Nigeria & Benin) origin. Rotimi’s mother is of Igbo (Southcentral & southeastern Nigerian) origin. She works for the government.

He has been making headlines recently due to the death of his character, Dre, on Power. Viewers’ elation at the news of Dre’s demise clearly indicates that the actor had perfectly executed his villain’s role. Although Power has made the Nigerian native a household name, it is not all that he is known for. He initially appeared as a recurring guest star in the first season Boss was his first screen acting role. He has also appeared in the CBS pilot Copper and Stone (2011).
