A professional football player and coach- Kevin Greene, stunned everyone with his excellent football skills. He was a defensive end and an outstanding outside linebacker for the National Football League from 1985 to 1999.  

Born in 1962, Greene was one of America’s most recognized and fantasy football players. He played for the Los Angeles Ram, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and San Francisco 49ers of the NFL. Greene was also an outside linebackers coach from 2009-2013 for Green Bay Packers and from 2017-2018 for New York Jets.

Greene had 160 sacks in his football career, which is supposed to be in the third position among all the NFL records of sack leaders. He was even voted to the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team and was elected in 2016 to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Greene played a total of 228 games in 15 years. He was among the top 10 players in sacks eight times in the NFL. His outstanding enthusiasm and dedication towards his games are an inspiration for future players.

Unfortunately, Greene left this mortal world for his heavenly abode at 58, in Florida.

Greene got selected by the Los Angeles Rams in 1985 and played here till 1987. He got his first sack in 1985 against the Dallas Cowboys in the defensive end role. In 1989, he made it to the All-Pro Team and was called the Pro Bowl.
  • Greene got a chance to sign a three-year contract with the Rams and scored 46 sacks in the three years. It was recorded as the highest achieved by any NFL player during the time. Greene then signed a three-year contract with Pittsburgh Steelers, and here again, he got the title of Pro Bowl along with Linebacker of the Year. In 1996, Greene signed with the Carolina Panthers, where he again got the linebacker of the year title and Defensive Player of the Year Award.
  • Greene had a successful career as a coach as well. However, it is said that he left the job to spend more time with his family. He breathed his last on 21st December 2020.
