• Alex Burriss was born in Great Falls, Montana. In his early childhood, he moved to Kentucky with his family and lived there. When he was in 5th grade, he moved to North Carolina. He was like a class clown in his school and always wanted to make his classmates laugh.
• He was very talented in baseball and wanted to pursue his career in Baseball.  Before joining the high school, he played for local leagues for more than 5 years. During his high school days, Alex was diagnosed with ADHD. It became harder for him to continue his study. He also left playing baseball and went to Los Angeles to pursue a career as Entertainer.
• When Burriss was in high school, he was considered the class clown who would make everyone laugh. Every day he would wait around the corner right before the bell rang and dive into the class to make everybody laugh. He once confessed he receives weird stuff from fans, including inappropriate things! His brothers Andrew Burriss and Aaron Burriss are also popular YouTubers.

• Alex Wassabi started making comedic videos with his partner Rio in 2014. He also started to create parody cover songs on the channel. Their first videos were only for their families and friends, but they became viral, and many people loved their videos. The channel was first called hoittsoroi but later changed into “Wassabi”.
• Alex and Roi continued to make parody videos, dance videos, and comedic videos. While going to college to keep studying, they did not stop making videos. They introduced two new members to the channel Rolanda and Richard.
• In 2012 the channel got their first big break with a parody video of the hit song “Call Me Maybe” The channel got more than 57 million views. The channel got insane reviews, and within no time, they gained over 8 million subscribers.
