Shraddha Kapoor is an Indian actress who works in Bollywood films. She was born on 3 March 1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra and daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor. She made her acting debut with a brief role in the 2010 heist film Teen Patti, she got first leading role in the teen drama Luv Ka The End in 2011. But, her first big breakthrough which gave her wide recognition was the commercially successful romantic drama Aashiqui 2.In the same year; she portrayed a character based on Ophelia in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider which gained her critical praises.
In later years, she appeared in thriller Ek Villain (2014), the dance drama ABCD 2 (2015), the action drama Baaghi (2016), romantic drama Ok Jaanu (2017), romantic drama Half Girlfriend (2017) all of which rank among her biggest commercial successes. Followed several big hits like Stree starring Rajkumar Rao in 2018, Batti gul Meter Chalu opposite Shahid Kapoor and yami Gautam, Street Dancer along with Varun Dahawan and several well-known dancers in 2020. Other movies like Baaghi and Bhaagi 3, Chhichhore, Saaho,Haseena Parkar was also loved by people across the world and did commercially good.
Apart from her acting career, Kapoor has sung several of her film songs. She made playback singing debut with the song “Galliyan” from Ek Villain (2014). She endorses a lot of popular brands of India and participates in stage shows and concerts.
Shraddha Kapoor begins filming for Amole Gupte’s “Untitled Saina Nehwal Biopic”. She will be also seen in Sujeeth’s “Saaho”, a bilingual action thriller opposite Prabhas and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
