Melanie Martinez is an American singer, also popular for her roles in songwriting, acting, directing, photography and screenwriting. Born in Astoria, Queens and raised in Baldwin, New York, on Long Island, she first participated in the MSG Varsity Talent Show during her junior year of high school and subsequently rose to prominence in 2012  and gained popularity after appearing on a talent show based on America, “The Voice”. After the show, she came up with her debut “Dollhouse”, followed by an EP with the same name through Atlantic Records.

The actor was born on April 28, 1995, and is currently 25 years old. Melanie chose Adam Levine as her coach and became the sixth finalist on the show before being eliminated by public votes. She is known to be one of the most successful products of the reality show.

Martinez is often cited as one of the only major successes of The Voice. Her music mostly revolves around the protagonist of her 2 concept albums, Cry Baby.
