  • Bob Costas is a prominent American sportscaster. He started his career as a commentator in 1973 by joining WSYR TV and also worked in radio in Syracuse. While attending Syracuse University, he started sportscasting in ice hockey leagues such as Eastern Hockey League and North American Hockey League. He joined radio KMOX in 1974, where he covered the American Basketball Association in that year. In the 1979- 1980 season of the NBA, he joined WGN-TV. He was one of the major contributors of Loose Balls: The Short, WildLife of the American Basketball Association, a book by the American Basketball Association.
  • Costas joined NBC Sports in 1980. His arrival changed the outlook of the channel, which was also a landmark of his career. He started hosting the National Football League on the track, later covering the National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball. He got an opportunity to host his interview show Costas Tonight on the NBC network. From 2003 to 2014, Costas covered the U.S. Open. In 2015, he hosted the boxing series of the network. Gradually he started hosting MLB, NASCAR, NBA, and XFL, a professional football league of America. He also covered the Olympics for NBC from 1988- 2016.
